The Sun Gallery’s (SUN) mission is to provide visual and performing art exhibitions and educational programs that reflect the diversity of Hayward and the surrounding areas. SUN fulfills its mission by offering a range of free exhibits and low-cost ancillary education programs that bring art to the community and inviting the public into the gallery through interesting and affordable programs. Art education activities for adults and children (including school field trips and a summer art camp) combine gallery exposure with hands-on experiences in the studio, lectures, workshops, and readings related to the exhibit themes. An important outreach is SUN’s free Saturday Art for Families program which entails inviting families into the SUN studio twice a month to create art, often from re-used or re-purposed materials.

The Hayward Chamber of Commerce is a champion for businesses through leadership, programs, and political advocacy. Our purpose is to: - promote the local business community - provide resources to our members to assist them in the profitability and growth of their business - provide networking opportunities - and represent their interests of business with government and political action

Through a unique partnership between the City of Hayward and Hayward Unified School District, Hayward Public Library offers after-school Homework Support Center services at local elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and Library locations. Health Access is the statewide health care consumer advocacy coalition, advocating for quality, affordable health care for all Californians. As a coalition organization representing consumer groups, communities of color, immigrants, people with disabilities, children, seniors, women, people of faith, and organized labor, Health Access seeks to connect grassroots organizing to policy work, on-the-ground mobilization with savvy Sacramento strategy. Health Access undertakes community organizing and education, research and policy analysis, and advocacy to benefit health care consumers, both insured and uninsured. Health Access represents consumers—insured, uninsured, under-insured—at the California Legislature, at administrative and regulatory agencies, in the media, and in public forums. Health Access hold the health care industry accountable, from insurers to drug companies to doctors and hospitals, and that health care consumers are also represented in critical policy discussions in the Capitol and elsewhere. With offices in Sacramento, Oakland, and Los Angeles, Health Access serves a statewide constituency.
