From humble beginnings in our founder’s garage, Melody Academy of Music now has three studios across the Bay Area of California. Our first studio was established in Palo Alto in 1997. That same year, we started our Cupertino location with students coming from as far as San Francisco, Berkeley, Pleasanton, and Antioch. Shortly after, we established a third location in Fremont. Driven by our passion to provide students with fresh and innovative experiences, students at MAM have the opportunity to participate in private lessons, group classes and a variety of summer courses. With a wide array of musical interests among our student body, we strive to bring each musician a uniquely tailored curriculum and experience to best help them achieve their goals. Once a year, our students are able to perform in a fantastic recital that showcases the strides that each musician has made throughout the year.

District wide, approximately 850 credentialed and classified staff members serve the students and community. Located in southern San Mateo County, in the town of Atherton, Menlo-Atherton High School serves around 2,100 students in grade nine through twelve. There is deep support for public education in the community, which is reflected in the commitment of school volunteers, the financial contributions of parents and service clubs, and the passage of three recent construction bonds (2001, 2004, and 2007). This is a neighbors driving neighbors ride program for Seniors and Veterans with disabilities in Contra Costa County. We are a nonprofit and do not charge our client for the rides. Most rides take about 3 hours from start to finish. Our clients have might have a walker or a cane, but no wheelchairs. This would entail picking a client up at their door, getting them into the car, driving them to their destination (mostly medical appointments, or grocery shopping), getting them into the waiting room of their medical appointment, waiting for them to be done, driving them back to their dwelling, and walking them back up to their door. Most of our volunteers take 1 ride every week but some do more and some do less. You would be able to make your own schedule.
