Opportunity Summary 

Our therapy clinic is looking to partner with a student to develop community outreach and educational programming via the web or social media to help anyone cope more effectively with emotions, thoughts, and behaviors they want to change.

Opportunity Learning Outcomes 

Students will learn about Dialectical Behavior Therapy and emotional skills to manage the variety of issues that can arise with emotions, from extremes in urges and thoughts to common stress and fatigue responses. Students will develop familiarity with online platforms to educate multiple target groups in the community as well as the general public.

Opportunity Training 

Both trainings within our organization and with other leaders in our field to assist the student in learning about the treatment modality and materials to use in community projects.

Additional risk specific to this opportunity 

While working remotely, we ask that the student maintain a private workspace. The student will not interact with our clients except during a brief shadowing opportunity (online).
