Opportunity Summary

The Personalized Health Care (PHC) Imaging Group at Genentech has several summer data internship opportunities to contribute to the development of image science applied to medical imaging. In this internship, you will research and develop a digital image platform for medical image segmentation. This platform will be used to identify retinal imaging biomarkers in eye conditions including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy (DR). Note AMD and DR are the leading causes of preventable blindness worldwide. This is a paid 40-hour/week internship with hourly rate $50.00 with a one-tiime stipend $3,000.00

Opportunity Learning Outcomes

The developed methods will be used to predict clinical outcomes (prognosis) for patients and to guide the evaluation of therapeutic efficacy, with potential for significant impact on disease management.

Opportunity Training

Regular onboarding to our computational environment that is needed to fulfill her task.
