To stay true to our founding principles of patient focused quality end-of-life care by treating patients, families and staff with respect, honor and dignity.

Program Information

Patient care volunteers offer active listening, companionship, assistance and other supportive services to patients at home or in skilled nursing facilities. Patient care volunteers may also provide brief caregiver relief for the family. Patient care volunteers must attend an intensive, multi-part training program which is provided free of charge. Patient care volunteers must have an annual TB test and health screening and undergo a background check. Patient care volunteers must be at least 18 years old. Administrative volunteers assist with medical records, bereavement and survey mailings, computer input and various other office tasks. Administrative volunteers undergo a brief training and a background check.
