South Asian Network

Organization Description

South Asian Network (SAN) is a community based organization advancing the health, emotional and mental well-being, and civil rights of South Asians in Southern California. SAN believes in self-sustaining communities who actively raise their voices, take leadership and challenge social injustices, both within and beyond the South Asian community. Given the multiple identities of gender, sexuality, class, religion, ethnicity and language in the diverse South Asian communities, SAN commits to challenging multiple oppressions through its efforts.

Health & Safety

South Asian Network serves older adults in the areas of mental health, educational workshops, and public benefits enrollments.

The student will be supervised by the program manager of the specific program they are assigned. They will have weekly one on one check ins, as well as access to their supervisor during operational hours should they need additional support..
