The Mission of the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is to educate and to support learners in reaching their highest potential. We prepare students to pursue successful futures and to make positive contributions to the community and the global society.

We believe our community’s greatest resource is the health of its people. Our family of organizations is dedicated to the pursuit of optimal health for all people in Monterey County, from birth to end of life. We believe the achievement of optimal health requires pro-active partnering with physicians and other clinicians, healthcare and community organizations, and, most importantly, each person we serve. Achieving this goal requires our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional value-based care.

Whalefest Monterey is a free, family-friendly festival that combines science, the arts and history. It is a 2-day event set around Monterey’s Old Fisherman’s Wharf and the adjacent Custom House Plaza, designed to be enjoyed by attendees of all ages. It features exhibits from dozens of local and national non-profit organizations related to marine science, sustainability of land and sea, and the environment. In addition, Whalefest Monterey features a Symposium where world renowned scientists from local marine science research institutions share their latest research findings.

WOLF (Web of Life Field) School's mission is to build respect, appreciation, and stewardship within the web of life. We work with schools and organizations to connect youth with nature during Outdoor School and Summer Camp experiences.

​Wonder Wood Ranch uses equine therapy to provide hope and healing to trauma-impacted youth in Monterey County, helping them to find purpose and become positive contributors to their community.

The X Academy is 501c3 nonprofit organization; providing out-of-school STEM enrichment opportunities for students throughout Santa Cruz County.

YMCA of the Monterey Penninsula is part of the Central Coast YMCA. See website for details.

Service Learning Students will serve as after-school program mentors & lunchtime volunteers at school sites. 

Internships opportunities: providing brief therapy to children between the ages of 3-17 in a school setting, co-facilitating groups at middle and/or high schools, working with entire families to help children reach their goals.

The Youth Alliance provides neighborhood and school-based services with an emphasis on reaching underserved and disadvantaged populations. YA's vision is to empower youth as leaders who contribute to the social and economic betterment of their community.

FAMiLiA program purpose is to assist young parents in completing school requirements and prevent a second teen preganancy. Program serves pregnant or teen parents ages 13-21 years of age. Joven Noble Program purpose is to guide at risk students at the high school by providing case management and group sessions. Target populationa re freshman and sophomores who at risk of failing.

Youth Alliance provides afterschool programs in San Benito and South Santa Clara Counties. Visual and performing Arts Programn in Aromas, Youth Support Services: Joven Nnoble at SBHS, Joven Noble Probation, School Based Counseling, Teen Parent Program etc.
