The Gemma Project provides, and promotes the national creation of gender responsive jail and prison reentry programming that serves justice-involved women with integrity and compassion. We advocate for policy change focused on what works to reduce recidivism, break the intergenerational cycle of incarceration, and create healthier communities.

Fitness and Wellness Facility - We promote generational health, encouraging you to feel confident and comfortable in your body and have a healthy relationship with fitness.

The mission of Life of Kai is dedicated to addressing the issue of overcrowded animal shelters through education. Fostering a deeper understanding of pet dogs to proactively reduce instances of pet relinquishments. Teaching essential life skills to rescue dogs to facilitate their journey toward finding loving homes. Nurturing empathy in children through humane education to shape kinder future generations by strengthening the human-animal bond. Establishing a foster-centric community to offer a more stress-free temporary housing solution for displaced animals awaiting their second chance.

Mission Statement We own and operate John Steinbeck’s birthplace and childhood home, a historically treasured landmark. The home is sustained by serving fresh, locally sourced cuisine and offering tours, books, and gifts to local and international guests.

The Wahine Project is a global response that seeks to end the circumstantial barrier that prevents girls access to a personal relationship with the ocean. Through exposure and interaction with the ocean, girls are encouraged to live healthy lives and acquire a strong sense of environmental stewardship. 

At MPUSD, the Educational Services department is committed to providing services and support to meet the needs of our diverse learners from grades K-12 and beyond. We work together with our school leaders and staff to ensure all of our students have access to a high-quality instructional program and the services needed to succeed as individuals.

The Thomas Carman Food Pantry's mission is to provide food for needy households and individuals.  We are located at the Epiphany Lutheran and Episcopal Church at the corner of Carmel and California Avenues in the City of Marina. The Pantry has been in operation since 2002. In 2013 alone we distributed 5,165 bags of food, serving 14,610 people including 4,115 children and 3,753 seniors.
