Building Healthy Communities- Action Council
Organization Description
The Action Council of Monterey County, established in 1994, works to create public/private partnerships to promote economic and social justice, initiate community dialogue and action, transform communities, and develop resources to facilitate needed change. More specifically the Action Council pilots and incubates new programs to spin off as their own non-profit; the Council supports ideas and concepts. Current projects include the Pathways to Safety Program. Wraparound Monterey County, Girls, Inc., and Parents as Teachers.
