Organization Description

From our district's beginning with 9 students in a house, we have grown to almost 9000 students and 800 staff members at 14 elementary schools.     

MISSION

The Mission of the Salinas City Elementary School District is to provide a well-rounded education with multiple opportunities for all students’ success.  

VISION

We expect all children to be at or above grade level.

Program Information

Henry R. Kammann School is dedicated to assuring that students are prepared for college and career. We will assure exemplary education for all students, support growth for our professionals, and foster the educational development of the entire community. 

Service Learning Opportunities Include: Tutoring in reading & math  K - 6. 1 in a 1:1 reading. Homework Center - Academic support grades 4-6. Spanish speaking support K and 1st grades. English development  K- 6 during or after school. Community-based English tutoring (Salinas adult school).

Health & Safety

All service learning students will be required to have a TB test and Fingerprinting prior to starting their service hours.
