Program Information

General Description of what students will be doing at this Site: Students will work with staff and guests in a supportive role for many of the services we provide at our Center.

Key Responsibilities: We are looking for students who would be comfortable greeting and interacting with guests. On-site activities may include assisting at the front desk or back desk, greeting guests, signing up guests for services at the center, data entry, serving meals, and assisting with activities/services.

Desired Intern Characteristics: Students with compassion for Homeless Women and a big heart.

Special Considerations: Our guests may be dealing with addiction, violence and mental health issues.

Interprofessional opportunities available for the student: We work in concert with a myriad of County Agencies and other non-profit service providers. Students will have the opportunity to network and navigate the spectrum of services available to homeless women in Monterey County.
