Public Space
Organization Description
Public Space is an independent, contemporary project space located in historic Salinas Chinatown that aims to foster new ideas and experiences, support artistic exchange and development, and inspire a larger community of cultural entrepreneurs. Consisting of a main gallery, artist studios, and artist-in-residency space, our mission is to promote cultural activities that support a wide-range of contemporary art practices, mentorship, reciprocal community engagement, and dialogue that honors cultural history as well as the needs of today. Public Space is a direct affiliate of Moon Gate Plaza and MidPen Housing.
