The Baler Wellness Center Intern Program at Hollister High School (HHS), part of San Benito High School District serves about 3,300 students, focusing on mental health wellness and academic success. HHS is proud to provide quality internship opportunities and experiences from prevention to crisis intervention. The program offers valuable experiences for those pursuing degrees in social work, counseling, PPSC, and more.

MSW,MFT,PCC,PPSC Learning Opportunities:

School Based Counseling:
MSW I interns manage 8+ cases.
MSW II interns manage 10+ cases

Evidence-Based Interventions:
Interns apply various interventions for student support.

Group Facilitation:
Co-facilitate groups addressing anxiety, depression, social skills, and substance use.

Wellness Support:
Conduct wellness check-ins for students.

Professional Engagement:
Attend meetings and collaborate with community partners.

Student Support:
Assist students with attendance barriers and crisis intervention, including follow-up planning.

Supervision and Collaboration:
Engage in supervision sessions and work with school staff for short-term counseling and student/family engagement.
