Social Workers and Interns interact with a wide variety of clients in the community who struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues. There have been incidents in the past where clients have threatened social workers which required legal intervention. This has included contacting law enforcement and/or obtaining restraining orders with the support of the Department's legal team.
