Senior Legal Services of Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties

Senior Legal Services strongly values their internship program and student interns jump right into legal client intake duties under careful supervision of our two Supervising Attorneys. The students may work on a variety of civil legal cases for seniors age 60 and older, including elder abuse, housing matters, maintenance of public benefits and more. They may be asked to draft demand letters, fill out judicial counsel forms and learn to prepare basic legal forms such as Wills, Springing Power of Attorneys, and Advanced Health Care Directives.
