Program Information

Outpatient Behavioral Health Services (CHOMP) The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic offers a wide range of services and multiple levels of care for our community. We focus on supporting adults with mental health and wellness needs by offering various types of therapy, education, assessment and medication management. We are also focused on practice development by delivering innovative treatments, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Esketamine (Spravato). This clinical placement is specifically focused on providing exposure and clinical experience within a multidisciplinary setting. Students will have the opportunity to develop skill and knowledge in the following areas: Group therapy Diagnostic assessment Substance use treatment Treatment planning Triage assessment Community resourcing Case management Clinical documentation Safety assessments Psychosocial evaluations Our clinic will be able to able to support students for two 8-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday. We would like to provide most of the practicum experience within our Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Recovery Center IOP (substance use treatment). This mixed-milieu approach would provide a robust learning experience at multiple levels of care for specialized treatment needs. Scheduling can be somewhat flexible, but we would prefer to create space for an evening shift per week in order to participate in the Recovery Center IOP. This shift would be from 12:30PM-9:00PM. The other shift would be 8:00AM-4:30PM.
