To provide a community-based, and community supported, economically viable and consumer-oriented, quality transportation service for seniors and visually impaired adults.

Program Information

General Description of what students will be doing at this Site: Students will be provided a work area to be able to complete multiple tasks that are done on a daily basis. Some general examples for office day to day tasks are learning our 2.0 system to be able to enter ride requests along with being able to answer the phone and being able to assist our drivers with directions or/and communication between the members and them. Being able to assist with creating weekly availability emails, excel spreadsheets and monthly newsletters. If doing outreach events will be expected to set up for events along with knowledge of ITN when talking to potential members and/ or volunteers.

Key Responsibilities: - Learn day to day operations of transportation nonprofit organization - Answer phone calls, assist with scheduling transportation requests - Communicate with drivers, dispatching team, and management on project/assignments - Develop marketing materials - Attend community events and outreach with ITN team - Assist Exec Director with developing and implementing Strategic Plan

Please provide details about trainings/ staff meetings offered or required:
CSUMB interns will be onboarded by the Operations manager and Executive Director to ensure aspects of the core operations and mission are clearly communicated.
We provide ongoing shadowing as training, and we rotate staff assignments to ensure that they excel in all areas of key operations. We hold monthly staff meetings along with personal performance reviews with the management team as necessary.

Health & Safety

ADA requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
