Organization Description

The visitor center, museum and headquarters of the Death Valley National Park are in Furnace Creek, It lies within the Mojave Desert and is the hottest, driest and lowest location in North America. Furnace Creek is at the bottom of the valley floor, which offers a wide view of the mountains to the east and west.

Health & Safety

During winter visitors should wear warm clothing. During summer visitors should wear sun protection clothes and hats. Summer temperatures can get to 120 degrees.
