Dawg Squad

Organization Description

The Dawg Squad is a non-profit 501(c) 3 corporation established according to California laws for public benefit. This all-volunteer organization is dedicated to improving the welfare of canines, with an emphasis on the homeless, abandoned, abused and special needs dogs of the City of Los Angeles, California.

We rescue dogs from the streets, situations of abuse and neglect and from the city’s high-kill animal shelters.  We provide medical attention, training, rehabilitation and foster homes until permanent adoptive homes are found. In most cases, dogs are fostered in loving volunteer homes while they await adoption. Other dogs are boarded with an emphasis on training, and all dogs are well socialized at weekly adoption events.  All dogs are spayed, neutered and micro-chipped prior to adoption.

The Dawg Squad is dedicated to:

* The prevention of cruelty to canines

  • * Rescuing and rehabilitating at-risk dogs and placing them in permanent homes and

* Reducing the over-breeding of domestic canines through spay/neuter and public education.
