Organization Description

A 76 foot research vessel operated by the Southern California Marine Institute fully equipped with the necessary gear to perform oceanographic research within the port of Los Angeles, the San Pedro Channel, along the southern California coastline, and along the coastline of Santa Catalina Island.

Health & Safety

Vehicle traffic, sunburn, dehydration, seasickness, wet surfaces, hard/angular surfaces (closed-toed shoes are required), large and unpredictable waves, moving steel cables (when in use), hot BBQ grill (if used), and ladders.
