Organization Description

The park includes parts of two deserts, the higher Mojave and the lower Colorado.  It is dry, with climate extremes.  It's landscape includes rugged mountains of rock, the Yucca brevifolia(Joshua Tree), Creosote bush and Cholla cactus.

Health & Safety

Take lots of water! Hikers and cyclists should carry 2 gallons per person per day. If you are traveling through the park have at least 1 gallon per person per day.  Avoid Strenuous activity during times of heat.  Wear sunscreen, hat and sunglasses.  Animals: snakes, lizards, rodents, insects
