Job Title: HSI Pathways to the Professoriate Program Intern
Job Description: An opportunity to build skills related to writing, public relations, program administration, and curriculum development.
- Assist HSI Pathways Coordinator in developing Outreach Plan, include Social Media strategy.
- Write short pieces on Student Fellows, Faculty Mentors, and the HSI Pathways program to be featured on program website, social media, blog, and possibly in campus publications.
- Assist HSI Pathways Coordinator and Faculty Mentors in development of programming and workshops related to graduate student success.
- May work one-on-one with Student Fellows to develop writing and academic skill sets.
- Assist with project management related to events and programs.
Special Skills: Required knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to maintain files, set deadlines and complete projects accordingly. Reliable, detail-oriented. Time management skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines are required. Knowledge of social media and its capabilities is a plus. Strong writer preferred.
Days and Hours: 10 hours per week. Flexible, to be arranged with HSI Pathways Coordinator. Intern must be available for some work between the hours of 8am and 5pm Monday-Friday.
