Organization Description

Barrio Action was established to empower young people to succeed both academically and socially, working with people of all ages, with a special emphasis on helping high-risk and at-risk youth, young adults and their families. The staff of Barrio Action works in partnership with youth and their families, seeking to increase youth’s understanding of life choices available to them. Since 1977, we have provided more than 20,000 youth and families the tools: - To create and sustain a healthy and nurturing family life - To establish a commitment to education - To develop and improve their social skills - To retain their dignity and reinforce their self-esteem
