Tia Chucha's Centro Cultural
Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural and Bookstore transforms the Northeast San Fernando Valley through arts, literacy, and ancestral knowledge. Since 2001, we’ve offered free to low-cost cultural arts and literacy programs, including visual arts, music, dance, creative writing, Indigenous teachings, and author events for a bilingual, intergenerational community. Our bookstore and Tia Chucha Press make culturally relevant books accessible, highlighting stories by People of Color, promoting social activism, and uplifting local voices. We inspire creativity, cultural awareness, and education through year-round workshops, storytimes, reentry programming, internships, and more.
