Organization Description

This trip will involve a short drive to and from CSUN's campus to the north end of Lopez Canyon Road, located to the north of Lakeview Terrace, CA. The trip will involve hiking [approximately] 2 miles on trails and dirt roads in area.

Program Information

Latitude and longitude Coordinates: 34.314N, 118.386W

This trip will teach students to use Brunton compass to collect strike and dip information and will allow student to practice topographic map reading skills.

Potential hazards include inclement weather, mountainous terrain, sunburn, venomous animals, and wildlife.
