Program Information

The Los Angeles Times Literacy Center provides literacy assessment services as well as customized literacy instruction grounded in the science of reading for elementary school students (TK-6th Grade).The L.A. Times Literacy Center prepares CSUN RLAA, RLLSC, and M.A. Language and Literacy students to take a leadership role in school-based, district-based and community literacy programs by providing clinically supervised lab work in scientifically proven literacy assessment and instructional techniques. Areas of focus include: foundational skills, background knowledge, comprehension, and writing.
