Program Information

Students will be participating in micro practice by providing individual/family interventions by doing the following: • Provide counseling & interventions to assist in addressing personal & environmental factors • Offer psychoeducation as it relates to patient/family coping and impact on support systems • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team to achieve good patient outcomes including participation in specialized committee meetings, care conferences, and rounding • Empower and advocate patient/family both during hospitalization and related to discharge plan • Resource education and provision • Safety concerns and reporting They will also participate in macro practice by being involved in internal committees, policy updates, and community outreach.

Hours of operation 

The hours will be predominately in the later afternoon to evening such as 1500 - 2330; the times can also start earlier, but the mentioned times, would be the most consistent. The days would also be Wednesday - Friday and weekends as well. Time can possibly be flexible with an addition of a task supervisor.
