Program Information

Weekly interaction and psychosocial assessment of patients/families. Education around community advocacy/education of Neurological conditions as well as facilitation of in-person and video support groups. Our placement will give students the opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary setting with neurologists, psychiatrists, RNs, residents, fellows, genetic counselor, physical therapist, researchers, scientists, and the community. This placement allows students to get a clinical approach as well as macro approach as we are a Nationally recognized Center and work with multiple non-profits and other health centers across the country to advocate and better the lives of our patients and families.

In Person interaction with patients/families is only on Friday's, therefore student must be available to work at least 4-5 hours most Friday's. The other days available are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We have occasional evening (after 6pm) or weekend events the student may wish to experience -- attendance at these events are NOT required for placement.
