Program Information

The UC Davis Alzheimer's Disease Center is advancing knowledge of Alzheimer's and related dementias, through comprehensive patient evaluations and leading-edge research. The center accomplishes its work by conducting basic science and clinical research, including clinical trials and evaluations, as well as through community outreach and education, professional education and research training. The center's goal is to improve the lives of people with Alzheimer's and their families. The center brings together an interdisciplinary team of dedicated researchers and clinicians, including neurologists, geriatric psychiatrists, geriatricians, neuropsychologists, psychometrists, social workers, nurses, and administrators. Social work services include recommendations for improved quality of care for persons with Alzheimer's disease, including referrals, education, counseling and training for patients, families and caregivers.
