Organization Description

The mission of the Language Academy of Sacramento (LAS) is to prepare kindergarten through eighth-grade students, particularly English learners and those from historically underserved populations, to excel academically in Spanish and English, to develop a lifelong love of learning, and to become bilingual, biliterate, and multiculturally competent leaders.

Program Information

2009-10 data: Currently, we have 340 students enrolled in grades kinder through eighth. About 84% of our students reside in the Oak Park area. Given our specialized program, we draw students from all over Sacramento, San Juan and Elk Grove Districts. According to the 2009 data, 79% of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch and 52% of our students are English Learners.
