Organization Description

SEIU-UHW is a healthcare justice union of more than 97,000 healthcare workers, patients, and healthcare consumers united to ensure affordable, accessible, high-quality care for all Californians, provided by valued and respected healthcare workers.

Program Information

The primary task that students will be focused on is moving legislation that SEIU-UHW is supporting. This includes research, writing support letters, and lobbying the legislature. There will also be a need to build relationships with legislators and staff. Students will also engage with our members for the purpose of empowering them to actively participate in legislative advocacy.
