Davis Vanguard

The Vanguard provides the Davis Community with incisive in-depth coverage of local government on a wide variety of issues. Since 2006, The Vanguard has provided Davis and Yolo County with some of the best groundbreaking news coverage on local government and policy issues affecting our city, our schools, the county, and the Sacramento Region.

The People’s Vanguard of Davis is committed to transparent journalism, driving reform, amplifying voices, and exposing systemic injustices, particularly those affecting marginalized communities. Through our investigative journalism, Court Watch program, and Vanguard Incarcerated Press, we aim to serve those often neglected or mistreated in our judicial system and mainstream media. This includes members of the BIPOC community, the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with disabilities, the unhoused, and those who are economically disadvantaged.
