Organization Description

St. Mary's Dining Room is a robust service center for the homeless and low-income groups. We provide meals, showers, clothing and social services.

Program Information

Linking clients with resources in the community, listening to their concerns, helping them to develop action plans, conducting home visits, and individual meetings.

Health & Safety

Many of the clients served have experienced trauma and St. Mary's utilizes a trauma-informed approach. Students should be emotionally prepared to deal with individuals struggling with mental illness and substance use disorder. Physical acts of aggression are very rare and immediately responded to be security staff, but verbal outbursts are common. Good self care is important.
