Organization Description

City Net is committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness in the communities we serve by connecting neighbors experiencing homelessness to transformative care and innovative housing solutions. Our objective is to reduce homelessness to functional zero in the regions we serve through collaborative supportive services, housing provision, and data-driven solutions that empower our clients to reach their personal goals.

Program Information

Students will have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of homelessness and its barriers that enable individuals to obtain and retain housing. Students will have the opportunity to learn about transitional housing, rapid re-housing, mental health, substances use and explore social work practices to address those barriers. Students will learn to create safety case plans, progress reports and biopsychosocial that allows us to place clients in the right directions. Students will learn about navigation and outreach; this will allow them to have first and important interactions with those in our communities who are in need of housing. Additionally, students will learn about Harm Reduction models, crisis interventions and follow strength-based practices that will help them support our vulnerable clients.
