Organization Description

Founded in 2009 by Marlaina Schroeder Spivey, Mirror Image Dance Company is more than just a place to learn technique from world class instructors. It’s a place to laugh, live, love and dance. It’s a place to learn how to be the best version of yourself you can be. Founded on the idea that everyone should have access to dance, MIDC proudly fosters a fun dance environment where everyone is welcomed with open arms: All body types, ethnicities, genders, socioeconomic statuses, and experience levels. Program Information

Interns receive hands-on experience in:
• Early childhood motor and skills development
• Assisting and teaching technique classes
• Youth coaching and classroom management
• Injury prevention basics, stretching, and movement analysis
• Studio operations and administrative workflows
• Customer and parent communication
• Inclusive dance practices and working with neurodiverse learners
• Event prep, recitals, and studio programming
