Project Lifelong

Organization Description

To engage Sacramento area youth through unique and experiential-based programming designed to empower futures, instill leadership skills, and create greater opportunities for lifelong success, good health, and well-being.

Program Information

Student interns will be working under an LCSW/PPS credentialed field instructor. The student intern would serve youth and families. The youth range in age/grade levels (primarily middle and high school). The duties include interviews and some follow-up of students and families to assess primarily for social-emotional needs, as well as unmet needs of the student and the families. The student intern will help lead workshops that provide psycho-education and resources to students and families. The student and families in our program will be given a voluntary opportunity to participate in a series of workshops that will culminate in an experiential nature activity. The youth who participate in our program will be offered support and some mentoring by program staff, and the family will be offered help finding/accessing and navigating resources to meet unmet needs; provided by program staff, as well as being provided by a student intern.
