Organization Description

Abridged, Sacramento's nonprofit news organization, launched on Sept. 16, 2025 — in honor of Sacramento’s 916 area code. Elevating the stories, people and issues that define life in the Sacramento region. We are building a new model for journalism to inspire a return to local news that readers can trust.

Program Information

The student intern will learn how to produce daily journalism on a wide range of topics for a digital news
organization.

Skills needed: News gathering and writing, interview techniques, and strong journalistic ethics. Interviews and news gathering will occur in the community.
