Program Information

Students placed within the Cultural Academic Resource Centers (CARC), including the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) and Parents & Families (P&F), will engage in a range of direct service, program development, and administrative activities. Responsibilities may include: Providing front-line student support and resource referrals (basic needs, childcare, mental health, academic support) Assisting with case management–informed support for student parents and historically underserved student populations Planning and implementing educational workshops and community-building programs (e.g., wellness workshops, parenting support sessions, leadership development events) Supporting large-scale campus events (e.g., Student Parent Graduation Celebration, Admitted Student Day, Women’s History Month programming) Conducting outreach and engagement efforts (tabling, presentations, classroom visits) Assisting with data collection and assessment (survey distribution, tracking participation, program evaluation) Contributing to marketing and communications (social media, newsletters, Canva materials) Participating in staff meetings, trainings, and reflective supervision

Hours of operation 

The CARC centers operate during standard university business hours, with additional evening programming opportunities. Typical Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Evening Programs: Occasional events between 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM (e.g., workshops, celebrations) Weekend Opportunities: Limited, based on special events (e.g., Admitted Student Day, Family Weekend) Students will work with their site supervisor to develop a flexible and consistent schedule that aligns with their academic requirements and availability
