InternshipAt — One Safe Place, The North County Family Justice Center
We provide students the opportunity to learn about Family Justice Center model, its services and the collaborations with partners. Services are available to anyone who has experienced child abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, hate crime, elder abuse, human trafficking, violent loss, family violence, or other abuse or victimization. In an all under one roof approach, providing comprehensive support services in a safe and judgment-free environment that empowers people to move forward with their lives.

Students will receive online training, onboarding, tour, and ongoing guidance on all activities.Training will include virtual mandated reporting for children and older adults, trauma informed care, domestic violence, and other trainings to support understanding abuse and services for victims of abuse.
The Family Justice Center provides safety guidance in its operational manual to ensure our clients, staff and partners are secured. Intern will receive copy of this manual as part of their onboarding.
All students will meet with internship coordinator at Family Justice Center, upon acceptance they will need to complete a background check prior to starting internship.
