Organization Description

SI Vista & North County Inland is a non-profit service club whose mission is to improve the lives of women and girls by empowering them through education. Our club, which is part of a larger international organization, focuses on three programs: providing education grants to women who are primary sources of income for their families, mentoring girls, and fighting against human trafficking in the community.

Program Information

Soroptimist International is an international women's organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Soroptimists contribute time and financial support to community–based and international projects that benefit women and girls.

A Soroptimist is a leader in her community. She believes that by joining with other women and engaging in awareness, advocacy and action in the service of her community and society, she can make the world a better place for humankind.

Soroptimist’s major project is the Live Your Dream Awards, which help women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them the resources they need to improve their education, skills, and employment prospects.

Soroptimist International of Oceanside-Carlsbad is one of 42 clubs in the Desert Coast Region. DCR is one of 28 regions in Soroptimist International of the Americas, and SIA is one of four federations in Soroptimist International. Please click on any of those names to reach the appropriate website.

Our Mission:  A global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.

Our Vision: Women and girls have the resources and opportunities to reach their full potential and live their dreams.

Health & Safety

Students would only volunteer for an evening meeting, service program or event if they choose. Students who choose remote volunteer projects, i.e. marketing content creation, public relations, social media marketing, etc. would be supervised/mentored less than 50% of the time as most correspondence would be via email or virtual meetings. Soroptimists members/mentors will be overseeing more than 8 people at large (100-200) attendee fundraisers and/or community speaker panels. Please see our services and events at https://www.sioceansidecarlsbad.com/
