This is a Non profit organization that partners with Feeding America to provide groceries to those in our community facing food insecurities.

Opportunity Title: Food Pantry Volunteer

Opportunity Summary

Service Learning students will help sort & distribute groceries to those in our community that face food insecurities.

By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned how to pack groceries and how to handle high volume of clients in a short amount of time.

Tasks/activities students would be doing for this opportunity

  • Deliver and/or package goods
  • Sort donated goods (such as, food, clothing, electronics, household items)

On site training will be provided to students when they arrive at the food pantry.

Food Pantry Manager will assist all student volunteers while at the food pantry.

Wear closed toe shoes and comfortable clothing while in the food pantry warehouse.
