The purpose of the Hughson Historical Society is to preserve Hughson's history through collection of memorabilia, artifacts and stories of the families and institutions that settled this area, and to provide an on-going process to maintain historical records. A central part of this mission is to expand knowledge of the history of Hughson through education and community events.

Hutton House is a state licensed temporary shelter for runaway, homeless and youth in crisis who are ages 13-17. It provides services in a residential setting for 8 youth at a time for a maximum of 15 days. Day services are available for youth and their families. Crisis line is available 24 hours a day.
