Organization Description

The Stanislaus Family Justice Center offers help and hope for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. Our goal is to offer comprehensive services in one safe place by collaborating and coordinating with partner agencies.

Program Information

The SFJC has many types of volunteer positions. It is our goal to assist you in selecting a volunteer opportunity that meets your time requirement. For most volunteer positions, we prefer that you be available for at least one, 4-hour shift per month.

A typical shift is as follows:

  • 8:30 A.M. thru 12:30 P.M. and 12:30 PM. thru 4:30 P.M., or as assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to set a regular, weekly volunteer schedule as well.
  • Agree to a 6-month or one semester commitment to the SFJC
  • It is the desire of the staff at the SFJC to provide every volunteer with a meaningful experience. We ask that you commit to becoming a volunteer for at least six months so that you can receive training and become proficient in your volunteer area.

Complete a Volunteer Interview

  • Each volunteer for the Stanislaus Family Justice Center (SFJC) will be asked to complete an Interview. This interview is a way for the SFJC staff to meet volunteers and help each volunteer discover which position would best fit their skills and needs.
