Organization Description

The Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE) partners with local schools and the community to support quality education for nearly 110,000 students in Stanislaus County and several thousand more in regional programs throughout the state. The office employs approximately over 1,100 staff and manages a $261 million budget. The Stanislaus County Office of Education, through effective leadership, coordinated services, staff development, and partnerships among family, school and community, will support public education in preparing diverse students to become productive citizens and life-long learners. Program Information

Career Inspiration Center Tutor:

  • Students will have the opportunity to tutor students from Stanislaus County Schools. They will have an opportunity to teach small groups under the direction of a CTE coordinator. This is a great opportunity for leadership, classroom management, and student engagement.
    • By the end of this opportunity, students will have learned the following: How to lead a classroom, what industries are in demand in the area, how to teach, organize, and lesson plan, and how to engage learners.
  • Possible Tasks & Activities:
    • Assist a professional
    • Serve as a tutor
    • Serve in a teaching role (including in an assistant role)
