Program Information

Facilitate or co-facilitate support groups, providing a safe space for individuals (youth, adults, parents, etc.) to share experiences and coping strategies. Interns with a focus on clinical social work can also provide individual counseling under supervision. Assist in managing individual and family cases, providing direct support, counseling, and connecting participants with resources and services. They can conduct needs assessments, develop intervention plans, and monitor progress. Contribute to the development of new programs or the evaluation of existing ones. Assist in researching evidence-based practices and adapting them to fit the center's goals and the community's needs. Engage in advocacy efforts, helping to promote policies that support the well-being of the community. Assist in organizing campaigns, liaising with policymakers, and raising public awareness on critical issues. Developing and delivering educational content related relevant topics. Facilitate training sessions for participants, staff, and community.
