The Fresno Center-Living Well Center

Organization Description

The mission of The Fresno Center is to assist individuals in becoming self-sufficient, self-fulfilled and productive members of the community while fostering cultural preservation and promoting cross cultural understanding. The Living Well Center provide culturally and linguistically qualified mental health partitioners to deliver three levels of care to the Southeast Asian community (Hmong, Lao, Vietnamese, and Cambodian). The Fresno Center-Living Well Center is also a training program to increase the number of licensed mental health professionals of SEA descent with bi-lingual and bi-cultural capacity

Program Information

The students are providing direct services to Southeast Asian community. Students will learn cultural appropriate services such as assessment, individual counseling, and group session. The students will carry a case load of at least 5-10 clients during their internship hours.

Health & Safety

The students will also complete a Fresno County Managed Care documentation and compliance training, HIPAA training, and past credential check with Fresno County managed care.
