Program Information The intern will assist in co-hosting the podcast "Vibin with West Modesto" alongside the Assistant of Engagement and PR. This role will involve contributing to the planning, promotion, and execution of podcast episodes that highlight community initiatives, interviews with guests, and discussions on relevant topics impacting West Modesto and surrounding communities in Stanislaus County.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Co-Hosting Duties • Assist in preparing and conducting podcast interviews and discussions. • Participate in pre-interviews with guests to align on topics and episode flow. • Contribute creative ideas for episode themes and content. • Help script episodes and ensure content is engaging and relevant. • Actively participate during podcast recordings, providing commentary and facilitating discussions. 2. Scheduling and Coordination • Schedule podcast recording sessions and meetings with guests, coordinating timing and availability. • Organize pre-interviews with guests and ensure all necessary logistics are arranged. • Communicate effectively with guests to ensure they are well-prepared for the show. 3. Promotion and Engagement • Assist in promoting podcast episodes across social media platforms. • Engage with listeners through social media interactions and responding to comments/queries. • Monitor podcast analytics and provide insights for improving listener engagement. Supervision and Reporting: - The Intern will communicate directly to the Assistant of Engagement and PR. - They will receive guidance and support from the Director of Engagement and PR for content direction and strategic initiatives. - Regular check-ins and feedback sessions will be conducted to ensure alignment with podcast goals and overall agency objectives. Requirements: - Interest in podcasting, journalism, marketing, communications, or related fields. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. - Passion for community engagement and storytelling
Expectations: - This is a temporary internship opportunity. - The intern is expected to work 6 hours per week. - A flexible schedule is preferred. - A monthly stipend of $275 will be provided.
