Program Information

MMCS has 3 programs that student interns can be placed in. The 1st year foundation student would be placed in the Supervised 'visitation program. This program provides trainings one month of shadowing, and close supervision as student monitors court ordered visits with families whose children have been removed from the home and are in reunification. The other programs that a second year advance student could be placed in is our Safety Net program and our Mental Health Full Service Partnership Program. The Safety Net program works involves home visitation with cases that were referred to Child Welfare but did not warrant a CPS investigation. Our role is to assess family for resource and referral needs. The last program our Mental Health FSP program works with African American clients who have a serious mental illness. Students would provide intensive case management , assessments, lead both rehab and clinical groups.
