Program Information Our mission is to promote and market the greater Ridgecrest area to the industries of tourism and conventions. RACVB continues to promote Ridgecrest from within to, our local clubs and organization members, as a prospective venue for district and regional conferences. Additionally, Ridgecrest Regional Film Commission is in charge of marketing the 10,000 square mile area around Ridgecrest to the film industry. The local film commission permits and/or facilitates 80 productions each year on dozens of locations including BLM property, private land, Inyokern Airport, City of Ridgecrest, as well as portions of Kern, San Bernardino, Inyo and Tulare Counties. The RACVB attends several major Travel and Film production shows, both in and out of State each year. The RACVB has successfully put on the 1st Annual Petroglyph Festival, which included events such as: Inauguration of the Petroglyph Park, Inter-Tribal Pow wow and Balsam Street Fair with over 15,000 in attendance!
