Program Information California Chapter 4, American Academy of Pediatrics is a community organization and an affiliate of the American Academy of Pediatrics (an international organization with headquarters in Elk Grove Village, IL). The Chapter was founded in 1982 and its membership includes over 500 Orange County pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists. In line with our mission California Chapter 4, AAP operates numerous programs supporting the health of children. Chapter programs focus on quality continuing medical education, early literacy, injury and violence prevention, promoting resources for nurses in the school, access to mental health services, immunizations, oral health, obesity prevention, and developmental screenings and referral.
